Into Literaturature Teacher Guide

Key contributor for design prototyping of teacher experience with customizable lesson plans and point-of-use strategies to meet the needs of all learners. Created materials used in teacher focus groups. Made adjustments addressing testing results to create a user-centered design.

Designed 500+ page Teacher's Guide from prototype through templating. Created style guide to maintain product branding through grades 6 -12 for Texas, Florida, National and other state customizations resulting in consistent styling in over 10,000 pages. During production phase, participated in ideation workshops, chose photos, directed multiple vendors on application of style guides and implementation of photo guidelines.

Designed other one-off components including student edition features, accessible anchor charts, and marketing piece used in the front of each book that was adjusted for grade band specifications then used as a stand alone sales tool.

Goals for the Design: Re-skin existing program to give a new look with minimal touches to reduce comp vendor cost for changes. Highlight digital resources of the program using existing app icons.

Solution: Redesign of 3 pages per Chapter. Chapter Opener alternates computer screen and mobile devices with eStudent Book on screen. On interior lesson pages, updated header with only master page change, existing text falls in exactly the same place for no text overflow.
